pick up local award

“And today we also highlighted the performance of one particular Ballymun based participant, Peter Gregory at Green Bubble. During the competition he logged a total of 246 climate smart actions, saving 239 kg of CO2 emissions, by himself, simply by making small changes in his everyday lifestyle choices. It gives me great pleasure to present the Ballymun Climate Champion to Peter,” said Hans Zomer, CEO Global Action Plan.

Green Bubble awarded Climate Action Champion

Green Bubble has partnered with Dublin City Council for Reuse Month, launching a pilot project featuring bubble wrap bins at Civic Offices. Green Bubble, a local sustainable enterprise, collaborates with Sunflower Recycling to collect, clean, and reuse bubble wrap, diverting waste from landfills. Staff are encouraged to deposit bubble wrap at the bin, contributing to a circular economy. The initiative aligns with the Council's Climate Action initiatives, fostering a cleaner, greener environment within its operations.
